School Information: Sunbeam Nursery School
Sunbeam Nursery School is a private
Preschool situated in Sun Valley, Fish Hoek, Cape Town. The garden
has several trees suitable for climbing, a large outdoor Jungle Gym,
swings and see-saw as well as a large sandpit under cover. Children
ride bicycles and other wheel toys on a concreted area provided.
Grass surrounds the school and many interesting areas are the
backdrop for the children's imaginary games.
Sunbeam has four age groups. Ages 2-3 (provided they are being potty trained), 3-4 year olds, 4-5 year olds and 5-6 year olds (Grade R). The programs followed are in line with the other fully registered recognised pre-schools. Sunbeam feeds local schools with many children, and is also an official feeder school for The Rock Academy.
Our Sunbeam teachers have the qualifications needed as well as many years' active experience in working with preschool children. The Staff members, together with Mrs. Raphael the principal and visionary, have a great respect and love for children and parents alike. Their God-given ability, training and experience, help the children to feel secure; whilst their enthusiastic approaches to teaching, bring the children into a place of interest and enjoyment, thus causing the growth and development required for Grade 1.
At Sunbeam we have the privilege of watching little lives unfold. We carefully nurture and assist children in discovering and embracing their God given giftings to become all that they have the potential for as they fall in love with developing in all areas (body, soul and spirit) and learning through play and discovery. We are excited to have been the pre-school that rising musician star Matthew Mole started out at, as well as so many other dynamic, successful men and women. We have had a number of children of past pupils go through our school too. So we have become a school to Generations.
