Our
School Environments
The prepared environment is set up to help the child create
themselves. These environments consist of Montessori materials to
help the child discover the world through Practical Life, Sensorial,
Mathematics, Language and Cultural activities. Each space is unique
to enrich the child's specific period of learning.
By having integrated age groups in one class, the children not only
learn from one another but also have the opportunity to consolidate
their learning by teaching the younger children.
The Extended Environment
The prepared indoor environment is extended to include outdoor
activities to further develop gross and fine motor skills. This also
allows the children to connect with and observe nature through
gardening, art, botany and zoology. Exploring the ever-changing
environment of an outdoor space fuels children's imagination and
helps develop outward thinking.
Concentrated periods of work called "work cycles'' allow the
children to focus on a task and develop their concentration.
