Calvary Christian College is a renowned Christian learning institution whose mission is set on developing future leaders of integrity. Established in 1986, Calvary has grown in leaps and bounds and recorded notable and exceptional academic excellence through the years. We have earned a praiseworthy reputation for placing our learners at the core of our academic activities and grooming them as individuals learning towards Christian leadership. Our 100% pass rate recorded for the past 6 years is testimony to the quality of our teaching staff and academic programmes.

Our education industry credentials and credibility are established and reinforced by being being a legally registered institution with affiliations and accreditation with reputable education regulatory bodies. Calvary Christian College is registered with the Gauteng Education Department and the Independent Examination Board (IEB). The school also enjoys full accreditation from Umalusi, which is the primary accreditation body for all education and training institutions in South Africa. It is also worth noting that our matrics write the IEB exam which places the standard of this school at par with St. Stithians, St. Johns and other private independent schools.

Apart from our academic achievements and credentials, We are conveniently located for easy access by learners and parents alike around the communities of Walkerville, Lenasia, Ennerdale and Eldorado Park. Calvary Christian College is situated right next to the R 82 to Vereeniging, close to Alan Manor/Mondeor. We are also two kilometers away from Southgate and a mere 6 kilometers from Soweto. For ease of transportation, there is a municipal bus service which passes in front of the school.

Academic Excellence
Calvary started its high school in 2006 and our first matrics wrote the IEB exam in 2010. We have a 100% pass rate for the past 6 years.

About Us
Our journey as a school and the involvement of the church in this rewarding journey speaks to the fact that God is in the people business, and we understand that we are His people. We also know that He never works outside of covenant.

From a primary school which by the year 1994 school only had 68 children, Calvary Christian College has expanded into a prestigious secondary school.

If you wish to register your son/daughter at Calvary the procedure is as follows:

  • Send us an e-mail (see above) requesting application forms

  • Come to the school and collect a copy of the application forms.
  • Complete these forms as soon as possible, as we invariably have waiting lists for the different grades.
  • Submit all the required documentation with your application form. We cannot process your application until we have all the documents.
  • The school secretaries will contact you to bring your child in for the placement test.
  • Once the placement test has been marked, parents are to attend an interview.

The placement test results and outcome of the interview will determine whether the child is accepted into the school or not. Only once the registration fee has been paid, will the child's name be added to the class list.

  • Calvary remains the most affordable private, independent, Christian school in the South of Johannesburg - and has been for many years.

At Calvary Christian College, academic and social events are avenues in which we build our community. We dedicate ourselves to schedule events throughout the year which go a long way in enhancing our reputation as an institution which is vibrant and full of life.
