At Penhurst Academy we use a 3-tiered guided approach to education: Textbook learning Online resources Micro class tutoring sessions A comprehensive Guidebook will provide the student with pointers to relevant textbook information as well as extensive online resources. Guidance sessions with tutors, our dedicated subject guides, will provide students the time and space to enquire about anything they have not understood from the material contained within the Guidebook so that they get the answers they need. Students will not be limited to working alone through material either, they are encouraged to work in groups on assignments and while studying. All the research over the last few decades has shown that students learn better from their peers than they do from a teacher. They speak the same language.
