The Lea is an independent pre-primary school, established in 1972. It is centrally situated near the Rondebosch Common and feeds all the schools in the surrounding area. The school has a governing body known as the Executive Committee. This team is responsible for the financial administration of the school, including the maintenance of the property and equipment. The property is owned by the LEA PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL, of which the parents/guardians of every enrolled learner are a member and cannot be sold to profit any individual.
