About

We started Sandton Montessori Preschool in 2007 out of our love for teaching children. We are currently based in the very peaceful suburb of Sandown, in the heart of Sandton catering for a maximum of 70 learners. One of our core attributes is that we give individual attention, and so provide each child with what they need, allowing them to grow and develop to their full potential. The extremely high standards of education for each individual child are the focus of all at Sandton Montessori Pre School. We implement the Montessori philosophy in our tranquil and unique environment whilst honouring our commitment to providing a well rounded education with varied extra mural activities. It is this basic tenet that establishes a solid foundation for each child ensuring a lifetime of creative thinking and learning, as well as developing their personalities and guiding them to becoming respected citizens of the world. All our teachers are Montessori qualified; two of these possessing grade R qualifications. All our teachers are fulll members of the Montessori Foundation and registered members of the South African Council of Educators (S.A.C.E).

Modern technology-enabled classrooms, vibrant and friendly teachers, safe colourful playground areas, nurturing pre-school. I had the privilege to photograph Montessori's facilities and child portraits for the class of 2025. As an uncle I learnt a profound amount about the teaching methodologies, materials and exercises they use at a montessori to develop a child holistically. As I photographed, I observed the ease and freedom kids have when learning about mathematics, language, computers, and their environment. You can't fake joy in a child's expressions. Their emotions are always honest and pure. Capturing joy, happiness, and excitement of the kids in the learning areas and playgrounds was a sheer a testament to the schooling environment Sandton Montessori facilitates for kids. It is a clean beautiful educational institution that develops children with warmth, ample space, high quality materials, and love.

An amazing school with the most attentive teachers, who show genuine love and care for the kids. I have my two kids in the school, my eldest started in 2022, so we are on our 3rd year, and both my kids have absolutely flourished in this environment. Tasneem, the principal is hands on, knows all of the details of every child and is always guiding us parents based on her immense experience. The setting of the school is open and allows for the children to feel safe and at home. My only worry is how my kids are going to be so sad when they have to eventually leave for Grade 1.

The school has a very structured curriculum, the study environment is very clean and organised. The play area is big enough. The Children are always happy. The school is very clean. The Staff are very friendly and they know all the parents. We find this school so impressive.
